Methods and instrumentation

  • Angiolink is a customized X-ray device primarily designed for the examination and treatment of blood vessels. However, it can also be used in other areas of the human body.
  • CT is a special X-ray machine, also using X-rays, that allows you to see structures as well as instruments inside the body without having to cut the body.
  • UZ/SONO, or ultrasound, uses sound waves and their reflection off various tissues to view organs inside the body.

All of these imaging methods were primarily developed to see organs and their pathologies inside the body, but over time they have come to be used to treat various diseases. They allow us to move around the body using special devices and tools inserted through only a small hole in the skin, find the target organ or tissue where the problem is located, treat it, and ultimately evaluate the success of such treatment immediately.

A device that combines CT and Angio modalities in one place is called a hybrid device, in our case it is a Siemens Nexaris, complemented by an external Redwood Acuson ultrasound device.
