Our team

Interventional radiologist has special certification in the field and performs interventional radiology procedures. Basic and simpler procedures such as drains or biopsies can also be performed by a general radiologist. However, it is always a team effort, with the nurse playing a very important role, instrumenting and sometimes assisting the doctor during the procedure. Before, during and after the procedure, the nurses care intensively for the patients.

Another important member of the team is the radiology assistant, who is responsible for the complex operation of the complicated instruments so that they provide optimal support to the examining physicians. The radiology assistant is part of the procedures themselves as "extra hands" during imaging and handling of the machines, as well as providing radiation protection for the physician and patient and assisting the nurses with patient care.

The sanitarian is also an important component, assisting with patient positioning, environmental hygiene, and transporting supplies. The team also includes, of course, cleaning staff who must maintain a perfectly clean environment, which is doubly true in the case of a super-aseptic operating room.

Some fairly common procedures are entirely dependent on anesthesia assistance, so the broader team includes anesthesia colleagues as well as surgeons involved in joint hybrid procedures.

Make the most of a great job opportunity

The new Department of Interventional Radiology at Bulovka is a very attractive facility. It offers a very varied and interesting job treating virtually the whole person to potential applicants who would like to become part of this unique and emerging team. In fact, we are not focused on just one organ, as some fields tend to be. We also provide virtually only "effective" medicine without the high administrative burden that is necessary in other fields. We are a small team that prides itself on good relationships in and out of the workplace. Some positions are still open...
