Dermatovenerology Clinic

Dermatovenerology Clinic of FNB and 2nd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University  is located in Hall 9. The clinic building, opened on 29 9. 1937, underwent extensive reconstruction in 2001-2010 and during the following years was equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment. The clinic has equipment for local and chamber UVB phototherapy, excimer light for psoriasis therapy, as well as digital dermatoscopy equipment, including a full-body scanner.

The clinic also offers vascular laser treatments and other cosmetic procedures for patients. The lymphology center has ten lymphatic drainage machines to perform complex decongestive therapy.

The clinic's reception reception is located directly opposite the entrance on the 3rd floor of the clinic. The clinic's outpatient clinics are located on the 3rd  and 4th floors, the corrective dermatology center on the 5th floor.  Inpatient section and lymphology center are located on the 2nd floor, similarly to the center for clinical studies.The  Emergency Service is conducted on the 2nd floor in the inpatient ward.

Arrangement

Patients are accepted for examination after appointment on phone number  +420 26608 2237 (you can make an appointment by phone in time from Mon-Fri 7.30-9.00 and Mon-Thu 13.00-15.00). Appointments can also be made in person or by emailingkozni@bulovka.cz. No GP referral is required for the examination

Acute patients (fever, rash suddenly appearing and lasting 1 day, significant swelling, sudden deterioration of condition) are examined 7.30-15.30 even without an appointment in the outpatient part of the clinic and then in the inpatient part of the clinic in emergency service if their condition requires it. The last patient is treated 30 minutes before the end of office hours. These non-appointed patients have to wait for the examination, as priority is given to patients with an appointment or consular examination at the Bulovka University Hospital campus. As our clinic is a super-consiliary unit, after treatment of common skin diseases, patients are referred with a report on their health condition and a recommendation for further action to their district skin or general practitioners.

The inpatient ward has 20 beds for patients with acute skin disease, we also have the ability to admit paediatric patients (up to 6 years of age with parent/carer). There are three single rooms for patients, two double rooms, three triple rooms and one quadruple room. Patients can choose to stay in a superior room for a fee.

The clinic is an accredited workplace of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic for medical education in in the field of dermatovenerology. The clinic is a teaching base of the 2. Faculty of Medicine of Charles University, has a rich scientific and research activity, international contacts and cooperation.
