Spa treatment of skin diseases
Faculty Hospital Bulovka is the operator of the Toušeň Spa.
The spa has an exceptional sulphur-iron peat that can work wonders with the skin. It is very effective in the treatment of chronic skin conditions such as the much prevalent atopic eczema. The unique bog has antifungal, bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties and therefore also helps with the treatment of chronic eczema, psoriasis and chronic bacterial and fungal diseases of the female external genitalia. The treatment programme also includes hydrotherapy with added sulphur, which has keratolytic and other beneficial effects on the skin.

Skin diseases (indication group X)
Natural medicinal source: natural mineral water sulphur group B (sulphur), natural mineral water iodine, natural mineral water chloride-sodium hypertonic, natural mineral water radon for indication X/5, natural sulphur peloid from local source. Climatic conditions favorable for treatment for indication X/1 and X/2.
X/1- Atopic eczema.
X/2- Generalized and arthropathic psoriasis vulgaris.
X/3- Toxic contact dermatitis. Eczema as an occupational disease under the continuous care of a dermatovenerologist.
X/4- Chronic dermatoses unresponsive to outpatient treatment.
X/5- Conditions following burns and reconstructive procedures where there is a risk of significant contracture.
