Department of Paediatric Surgery and Traumatology

The Department of Paediatric Surgery and Traumatology cares for patients aged 0 to 18 years. The main focus of the department's professional activities is abdominal surgery, traumatology, urology, proctology, neonatal surgery, burn medicine in children up to 3 years of age, plastic surgery of childhood in cooperation with the Clinic of Plastic Surgery. 

The department cooperates with clinics and departments of FNB dealing with medicine of childhood. The Department of Paediatric Surgery has 1 operating theatre in the Surgical Clinic. In emergency times, the operating theatre is used according to the current situation in cooperation with the Surgical Clinic.

The Department of Paediatric Surgery provides postgraduate training for doctors before certification. Doctors of the department actively participate in national and international congresses related to pediatric surgery and its specialties. The Department of Paediatric Surgery also serves as a training station for some secondary and higher medical schools.

The Department of Paediatric Surgery and Traumatology is located in Building 5 (1st floor) on the hospital campus.
