Inpatient treatment in the eye department is for complex diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures. It is recommended in such cases where outpatient treatment or diagnosis is not possible or is inconvenient for other reasons. 

We have 2 to 3 bed standard rooms and one 1 bed superior room. If you wish to spend your hospitalization in a superior room, this must be arranged at the time of booking.

Things you need to bring with you to your hospitalization

The necessary information is provided in the ordering sheet you will receive when booking your inpatient stay. Please remember to bring your chronic medication with you. If you are booked in for surgery, the booking document includes a request to your GP for a pre-operative examination and consent for surgery. If the operation is planned to be performed under general anaesthesia, the GP's report must include explicit consent to general anaesthesia.

How to prepare for hospitalisation

Each patient who is booked in for a inpatient stay is given all the instructions and details at booking to enable them to prepare properly for hospitalisation. The details will be communicated to you by the ordering doctor and nurse, in case of any confusion please - do not hesitate to ask in person or call our outpatient clinic phone number: +420 266 083 083 (ideally Mon-Fri 8.00-12.00).
