Radiography (X-ray)

The central X-ray department is located on the 1st floor of Building 1.

Scans (routine imaging) are performed during regular business hours without an appointment and without preparation. For other examinations, an appointment must be made in advance, either by calling +420 26608 2013 or in person at the clinic office, on weekdays 7.00-15.00 (Friday until 13.30). Here you can also obtain information on how to prepare for a specific examination. The patient must have a properly filled out application form for the examination issued by the referring physician.

The central X-ray department performs common sciagraphic examinations (imaging), as well as examinations of the swallowing act, esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine (enteroclysis, irrigography, defecography). Some specialized examinations and procedures are also performed here, such as arthrography, fistulography, excretory urography (IVU), hysterosalpingography (HSG) in cooperation with the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic, and in cooperation with the gastroenterology outpatient clinic at the detached workplace in building 10 (1. internal department) bile duct examination (ERCP) and also biliary drainage (PTD). 

The central workplace also includes an angiography workplace, which, in addition to conventional diagnostic angiography, performs specialized interventional procedures - PTA, stenting and thrombolysis on peripheral arteries, embolization and chemoembolization of tumors and vascular malformations, etc.

Detached scanning units with continuous emergency operation are located:

  • on the ground floor of building 5 (Surgical Clinic) for internal and surgical specialties,
  • in 1. floor of Building 13 (Orthopaedic Clinic) for trauma patients,
  • other detached scans units are in Buildings 10 (serving only the needs of the departments located here) and 4 (serving mainly the needs of the Pneumology Clinic).
