Inpatient section

The inpatient section of the Urology Department is located on the 3rd floor of Building 3.

The department offers single or double rooms with easily accessible facilities. Superior rooms are equipped with private toilet and shower, TV and air conditioning. A newly renovated intensive care unit (ICU)

The urology department provides curative and preventive nursing care in the whole range of adult urology. Our goal is your satisfaction. You will help us to achieve this goal by following our guidelines.

Home Rules

Dear patients,

The urology department provides preventive and curative care in the entire range of adult urology. Our goal is your satisfaction. You will help us to achieve this goal by following our guidelines. Throughout your stay, you will be cared for by an attending physician, with nursing care provided by general nurses and ancillary nursing staff.

  • Morning work on the ward starts at 6.00.
  • The attending physician's visit runs from 7.00 to 7.20.
  • Grand rounds take place on Mondays and Fridays from 8.10am to 8.40am.
  • Scheduled OP starts at 8.00am.
  • Afternoon short rounds by the attending physician take place between 2.40pm and 3.00pm.
  • Evening rounds take place at 6.00pm.00.

Nursing care is carried out by the nursing staff throughout the day, therefore we request you not to leave the ward without the knowledge of the staff.

Medication administration

  • Morning 6.00-9.00
  • noon 12.00-13.00
  • evening 17.00-18.00.

In the ICU department - according to the doctor's surgery.

Diet and diet

Diet and diet is determined by your doctor. The food brought in can be kept in the fridge designated for that purpose. Food must be in original packaging and labeled with your name. Meals in the ward are served at the following times: breakfast from 7.30, lunch from 11.30, dinner from 17.30. The menu is available on the bulletin board at the nurses' office.

Visiting Hours

Visiting hours on the inpatient ward are allowed daily from 15.00-17.00, on weekends 14.00-16.00, otherwise by arrangement with the nursing staff. ICU wards according to the severity of the patient's condition, visit by appointment with the attending physician. 

Night rest

Night rest is from 10 pm to 6 am. We ask that you observe it so that you do not disturb others.

Our recommendation

We do not recommend taking valuables, large amounts of cash to hospital - staff are not responsible for these items.

There is limited access to the ward to ensure patient safety. Smoking is permitted in designated areas located within the hospital grounds. Drinking of alcoholic beverages and the use of addictive substances is prohibited throughout the hospital grounds.

We ask for your indulgence in the event of occasional night-time noise in the corridor of the inpatient ward, this area houses the acute outpatient clinic where patients attend and are transported here in an acute condition by the Emergency Medical Service (EMS).
