From the history of our department

The Neonatology Department was established by a decision of the management of the Hospital Na Bulovce in 2006. However, only 2007 was a breakthrough year. A fundamental change in the organisation of the department and in the scope of care provided was implemented.Until 2007, only physiological newborns were cared for at the Hospital Na Bulovce. The Intensive Care Unit became a completely new capacity.

In 2006 the need for a completely new neonatology unit at the Hospital Na Bulovce was declared by the Czech Neonatology Society and the Ministry of Health. Our department, together with the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic, was included among the Intermediate Perinatology Centres in the year 2014.
