The Trauma Centre of Bulovka University Hospital provides 24-hour comprehensive trauma care in the following areas:
1. Highly specialized care for limb injuries
Orthopedic Clinic FNB, 1. LF UK and IPVZ is able to provide treatment of all types of bone fractures (flat, diaphyseal, intra-articular, closed and open), to perform stabilization by internal and external methods or to replace the joint operatively.

The hospital provides treatment for all blunt, open and penetrating injuries in areas of the lung, intercostal space, all hollow and parenchymal organs of the abdominal cavity, pelvis or retroperitoneum.
In collaboration with the Emergency Department, immediate readiness of the trauma team is ensured. Patients are provided with all necessary examinations and procedures, including providing vital signs, taking blood for laboratory testing or performing imaging (SONO, X-ray, CT). On the basis of these procedures, a decision is then made about the need to bring in additional consultants to decide on further treatment. In case of the necessity to perform a surgical intervention, the patient is transferred to the operating room of the Emergency Department.
This organized work of the trauma center allows the presence of experts from all disciplines and significantly accelerates the process of stabilization of patients' vital functions, the diagnostic process and the possibility of providing rapid surgical assistance.
