Sonography

The central sonography department is located in building 1 (1. floor)

An appointment is required either in person or by phone +420 26608 2024 (MON-THU 7.00-15.00, FRI 7.00-14.00). The patient must have a duly filled in request form for the examination issued by the referring doctor.

The examination of the abdominal cavity, kidneys and urinary tract, as well as the examination of soft tissues, muscles and tendons for orthopaedic purposes, in children the examination of the CNS, abdominal cavity, kidneys and urinary tract, as well as the examination of the neck and thyroid gland with event. Punctures and biopsy examinations under sonographic control. We also perform sonographic examinations with intravenous administration of contrast medium.

Pre-examination preparation:

  • Soft tissue, CNS, neck examinations do not require any preparation.
  • For kidney, bladder, and pelvic organ examinations, it is advisable to come with a full bladder.
  • For abdominal examinations, it is advisable to fast for at least 4-6 hours prior to the examination, especially for examinations targeting the gallbladder and biliary tract.

Detached sonographic workplace is located in building 10 (ground floor), it serves mainly for the needs of patients of the 2nd internal department, pulmonary and infectious clinic.

These departments do not perform cardiac and vascular ultrasound examinations, which are provided by the Functional Diagnostic Department and 1st Internal Medicine Department.
