Dermatovenerology Clinic

Dermatovenerology Clinic of FNB and 2nd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University is located in Hall 9. The clinic building, opened on 29 9. 1937, underwent extensive reconstruction in 2001-2010 and during the following years was equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment. The clinic has equipment for local and chamber UVB phototherapy, excimer light for psoriasis therapy, as well as digital dermatoscopy equipment, including a full-body scanner.

The clinic also offers vascular laser treatments and other cosmetic procedures for patients. The lymphology center has ten lymphatic drainage machines to perform complex decongestive therapy.

The clinic's reception reception is located directly opposite the entrance on the 3rd floor of the clinic. The clinic's outpatient clinics are located on the 3rd and 4th floors, the corrective dermatology center on the 5th floor. Inpatient section and lymphology center are located on the 2nd floor, similarly to the center for clinical studies.The Emergency Service is conducted on the 2nd floor in the inpatient ward.

Booking

We see patients for consultations by appointment only. Please call +420 26608 2355 (appointments can be made by telephone Mon–Fri 7.30–9.00 and Mon–Thu 13.00–15.00). Appointments can also be made in person or by email: kozni@bulovka.cz. No referral from a GP is required for an appointment

Acute patients (fever, a rash that has appeared suddenly and lasted for 1 day, significant swelling, sudden deterioration in condition) are seen between 7.30–15.30 even without an appointment in the clinic’s outpatient department and subsequently in the inpatient department as part of the emergency service, should their condition require it. The last patient is seen 30 minutes before the end of consultation hours. These walk-in patients must wait to be seen, as priority is given to patients with appointments or to consultations taking place on the premises of Bulovka University Hospital. As our clinic is a super-consultation centre, patients who have beentreatment for common skin conditions are referred back to their local dermatologists or GPs with a report on their medical condition and a recommendation for further management.

The Inpatient Ward has 20 beds for patients with acute skin conditions; we are also able to admit paediatric patients (up to 6 years of age with a parent or carer). Three patient rooms are single, two are twin, three are triple and one is a four-bed room. Patients may opt to stay in a premium room for an additional fee.

The Clinic is an accredited training centre of the Czech Ministry of Health for the training of doctors in the field ofdermatovenerology. The clinic serves as a teaching base for the Second Faculty of Medicine at Charles University, and is involved in extensive scientific and research activities, as well as international contacts and collaboration.
