Nutritional therapists

Nutritional therapists work with doctors and nurses in all inpatient wards, provide advice in nutritional counselling rooms and work with doctors in nutritional outpatient clinics.

Hospitalization

Based on the results of a nutritional screening and as indicated by the physician, nutritional therapists care for the nutritional status of a given patient. They monitor and evaluate, based on the nutritional history, the risks of malnutrition or other specific nutritional requirements of the patient. They suggest to the attending physician possible adjustments in diet, inclusion of sipping or certain modular dietetics. According to the doctor's indication and the patient's health condition, they draw up an individual dietary plan. They provide individual dietary adjustments in the dietary service based on the patient's health condition or needs and requirements - food allergies, specific eating habits.

According to the physician's indication, they provide educational activities to patients with diseases requiring special dietary measures or their family members.

According to the physician's indication, they calculate the energy value of the diet or special enteral nutrition. Based on these calculations, they recommend adjustments to the diet or enteral nutrition.

What do you need for the first examination ?

Recommendation from a specialist or general practitioner, ID card, health insurance card, weekly record of current diet, record of physical activities, including their duration and intensity, list of medications and dietary supplements used with dosage, medical reports (if you visit outpatient specialists).

Important warnings and contraindications for weighing on the InBody 770

No eating or exercise for 2-3 hours before measurement.
Cannot be performed in patients with pacemakers and in women in the first trimester of pregnancy.
In patients with various implants (e.g. metal, silicone), the measurement results are inaccurate.
Weighing can be performed from the age of 3 years, for height over 1 meter and for people with a maximum weight of 250 kg.
Ambulance does not specialize in patients with extreme XXL obesity.
