Spiritual Care

Patients, their families and loved ones, as well as staff at Bulovka University Hospital, can make use of the services provided by the team of hospital chaplains. The hospital chapel is also available to them.

Hospital chaplains

The chaplains at Bulovka University Hospital are appointed by their respective churches, under an agreement with the hospital.
They offer conversation, a listening ear, a kind encounter, human companionship and support during times of illness. They help to reduce stress, overcome loneliness and find ways to cope with difficult situations with dignity. For those who are interested, they offer prayer, the sacraments, Bible readings or church services.
At the same time, they provide encouragement, understanding and hope.

Hospital chaplains provide spiritual care to all people, regardless of their religion or worldview. They maintain confidentiality and respect freedom of conscience. Upon request, they are available to administer the sacraments. They work alongside other clergy from state-recognised churches and, upon request, will put you in touch with them.

Chapel of Divine Mercy

The Chapel of Divine Mercy has been serving all patients, staff and visitors at Bulovka University Hospital since 2019. The chapel is open every day from 6 am to 6 pm. It is situated on the ground floor of Building 3.

Confession, the reception of Holy Communion and the administration of the sacraments in the wards are available at any time by prior arrangement with the hospital chaplain.
