Inpatient ward

The ward has 60 beds in three hospital stations, where patients whose treatment procedures or general condition do not allow outpatient form of treatment are hospitalized.  

The inpatient ward not only provides comprehensive oncological treatment, but also supportive treatment, including e.g. pain management or nutritional care in full scope; regular consultations on pharmacotherapy are carried out and extensive cooperation with other clinics and hospitals is established. Not only acute care but also palliative and terminal care is provided.   

The department works closely with the social workers of our hospital to ensure that patients are socially secure even after their hospitalization. A psychologist, a hospital chaplain and volunteers from the non-profit organization Amélie are regularly available for patients.

The inpatient ward also includes a separate room for communication with patients and their relatives. A lounge with a library is available to patients.

How to prepare for hospitalization

Patients will report for hospitalization by appointment at 9am to the Admissions Office on the ground floor of Hall 6/A and bring the appropriate medical documentation with them

  • citizen ID
  • insurance card
  • certification of incapacity for work, if issued to the patient
  • hygiene and toiletries
  • shoes for changing
  • personal undergarments
  • pajamas and bathrobe
  • special aids, e.g. insulin administration aids, corset, canes, colostomy aids
