How we do it

The first visit to the pregnancy clinic is at 36th week of pregnancy and is led by a doctor.

The doctor will assess, according to your medical history, whether or not you are a suitable candidate for further checks at the Centre for Midwifery Assistance (CPA), where care is provided only by a midwife.

After the first visit, the client decides to attend one of the clinics based on a consultation with the doctor:

Midwifery Centre (CPA)

CPA pregnancy clinics are led by a midwife. If an increased risk or pathology is detected, the woman is transferred back to the care of a physician.

CPA registration requirements:

pregnancy with low-risk (or risk that has passed - e.g. bleeding in 1st trimester, treatment for imminent preterm delivery, history of urinary tract infection, etc.).
Compliance with all recommended screenings, including oGTT (i.e., "completed pass" - all with normal findings).
unencumbered obstetric history (no cesarean or forceps deliveries), no complicated previous perineal injuries, no hypotonia, no severe hypoxia in previous delivery, no previous stillbirth, etc.).
Normal regular examinations (urine, blood pressure).
Headlong position (in pregnant women over 34+0).
single pregnancy.
Spontaneous conception (ovarian stimulation, ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination possible, extrauterine insemination not possible in CPA mode).
absence of diseases with effect on pregnancy.
age of mother 18-39 years.

Physiological pregnancy counselling

The Physiological antenatal clinic is intended for women whose pregnancies are progressing normally but who do not meet the criteria for admission to the CPA, or in the event that, when the CPA is at full capacity.
