Adriana Nerudová, DiS.
"As a midwife and a woman I can provide an emotional approach and maximum understanding for the individual experience of childbirth."
Adriana graduated from medical school in 2003 and as she likes to state with hyperbole, continued her practice with her own births. She has five children, which she cared for fully until 2017, when she returned to work. She chose the maternity hospital Bulovka University Hospital, where she gave birth herself and where she was very satisfied. She had always dreamed of working in the delivery room and now she can also draw on her own rich experience, as most of her deliveries took place with a midwife. She speaks German, Polish and some English.

She has two children and a dog at home, she plays sports, reads, likes mountains, animals, listens to nature. Bc. Alžběta Samková, DiS.
"My mother advised me to become a midwife and I will always be very grateful to her."
Alžběta worked in the delivery rooms in Brandýs nad Labem and ÚPMD in Podolí. Most of her practice she tries to provide continuous care to women. She is a mother of a young son and this is currently the main reason why it is not always within her possibilities to accompany a woman to childbirth. As she says, it is through midwifery that she has learned that if one does something with love and sincerity, as best as one can and as best as one is allowed to, then it will come back to everyone many times over.

"The work of a midwife warms the heart and brings tears to the eyes at the same time."
Zuzana graduated in midwifery at the Jessenius Faculty in Martina. She completed her master's degree in intensive care midwifery at Palacký University in Olomouc. She gained new horizons during her midwifery internship in Estonia. She gained work experience not only in Czech maternity hospitals but also in a multicultural environment in Saudi Arabia. Bc. Paulina Agata Podulka
"I would like every woman to leave the hospital with a good birth experience. I want all women to receive proper psychological support. A good birth can mean something different for each woman, for some it is a natural birth without intervention, for someone else it is a birth with an epidural or a caesarean section."
She has two children who have led her on the midwifery path. She graduated from the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. She joined GPK University Hospital Bulovka because she likes the concept of this maternity hospital, where the staff tries to accommodate women and fulfill their birth wishes. Her goal is to support women in the natural course of childbirth as much as possible. To give them support in this important moment, which is the birth of a new life. Paulina enjoys reading, cooking and cycling. She is fluent in Czech and English, but her mother tongue is Polish.

Tereza studied Midwifery at the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University. She has been fascinated by the field of obstetrics since childhood. She also provides support to English-speaking women.
She sees childbirth as a very sensitive, intimate and emotional experience. When providing care during labour, she likes to use a rebozo, herbal steam, aromatherapy and the knowledge she has gained from the midwifery workshops she has attended. Tereza allows physiological births to take their natural course and intervenes only when the situation requires it. She provides steadfast support even during complex births. Throughout labour, she strives to provide plenty of her presence whilst also ensuring privacy for partners. She listens to the mother’s wishes and needs, and for her, the most rewarding thing is to witness the joy and tears of happiness at the birth of a baby.
Tereza will visit you whilst you are in the postnatal ward. She is happy to help with breastfeeding, care for any birth injuries and answer your questions.

Karolína has been working at Bulovka Hospital since 2022; she studied midwifery at the First Faculty of Medicine in Prague and completed her master’s degree in Perioperative Care in Midwifery in Pardubice.
Karolína’s philosophy at work is, above all, open and mutually respectful communication with the couple, supporting physiological processes during childbirth whilst taking into account the health of the baby and/or the mother, and striking a balance between ensuring privacy and providing care.
In her work, she likes to use aromatherapy, music, rebozo techniques, herbal steam baths, perineal warming during the second stage of labour, and both non-pharmacological and pharmacological pain relief according to the mother’s individual preferences. She encourages the mother (and her partner) to remain active throughout the entire labour.
