Postnatal care of the newborn

We encourage the first treatment on the woman's body and undisturbed bonding, if the newborn's postpartum adaptation allows it. The baby is marked and placed on the woman's chest after birth, where skin to skin contact takes place. Weighing and measuring can be done later.

If the baby requires active medical care, treatment is performed by a pediatrician in the neonatal box in the delivery room.

Bonding

Bonding, or bonding, is the establishment of a child's initial, close contact with his or her mother. The baby is placed on the mother's chest skin to skin. We try to encourage this undisturbed contact as far as the health of both of them allows. Bonding takes place for 2 hours in the delivery room, undisturbed. If bonding with the baby's mother is not possible, the baby's father can fill the role.

Cord blood collection

In collaboration with Family Bank or Cord Blood Center Group, we perform cord blood or tissue collection.

Cord blood contains stem cells that are currently used to treat lymphomas, leukemia, thalassemia and more. Umbilical cord tissue is used in cell therapy and regenerative medicine. 

This service is not covered by health insurance and is billed according to institutional price lists.
